What a tiresome day, actually it was a very bad week. Two murders had already taken place which had caused a havoc in the magical world. Who on the earth was killing so brutally? When Katie's parents had heard about the news , they rushed to Hogwarts to meet their children. Since Katie did wanted to drop out of school by the end of her sixth year, her mother had asked her to leave Hogwarts right at the moment, along with Logan and move back to London which was a safe place. Both the siblings didn't agree to it and it was only their mother's decision while father was against it, both the siblings were able to stay back and continue with their studies. Before the day her parents could leave, her mother gave her some pocket money which was more than the usual amount of pocket money. Katie happily took it and placed it in her bag and after their parents had left, Katie and Logan didn't see each other, like they were least bit bothered about each other. Those two siblings were like they just didn't exist for each other but she knew they both cared alot for each other, only problem was that they couldn't ever show it. Katie had made her way back to the castle after work when she realized she was being followed. It was barely evening but she was scared, thinking that maybe now it was going to be her turn to be killed. Her hand in her pocket held onto the wand and she turned around to see who it was when she noticed a shabby looking man who passed by her and left. He walked away, so did it mean he wasn't following her? She took a deep breath and continued to walk her way back to the castle when a group of three boys suddenly stopped her and started to stare at her. one of them touched her head and she pushed him aside. ''Don't. Even. Dare. To. Touch. Me''
she said for once and for all, her werewolf eyes turned yellow in anger and she looked dangerous than ever, since the full moon night was near. They weren't scared of her at all. Was it because she was too little, short and tiny? Well now she really needed some help. They all smelled like they were drunk and indeed they were. She could say it by their behavior and way of walking. She was pushing them aside and walking backwards, trying her best to defend herself physically and then suddenly she pulled out her wand and pointed at them. Their eyes were hungrily staring at her body and she wasn't liking the feeling of being watched by such guys. ''Don't you stare at me you morons! Just leave me alone and get lost before i throw you into the walls.''Katie had told them and one of them laughed out and suddenly put his hand on her back whispering the dirtiest thing ever and Katie pushed him away, she was in real trouble now and she hoped someone would help her. The boys started to put their hands on Katie and she felt so helpless for the first time and screamed out loudly that brought two young boys, unknown to her, but what so ever, they had come to help her and save the day. She was finally pulled out of the trouble by those guys as helped her to get through those drunkards. After her encounter with such people, she walked faster than ever and sudden, out of the blue, something put their hand around her neck and pointed a wand at her. His Strong hands made their way into her coat's pockets and took everything that was in such as her watch and her little purse that was given to her by her granny and in that there was at least fifty to sixty galleon and twenty knut, which was her yearly saving. The man pushed her way after after he had taken out everything from her pocket. What on the earth was happening with her? She turned around and tried to stop the man and ask back for her purse but before she could do anything, she was hit from behind by some woman and Katie had fallen on the ground. Her hand had a cutt as a glass piece cutt against her skin and both the man and woman ran away. Someone she knew had seen everything that had happened and she approached Katie and helped her asking whether she was okay. Katie nodded. She was worse than she looked. She couldn't believe her night could be so worse and she just got bankrupted ! The money had she had saved over the whole year was taken away from her and the worse, that little purse mean alot to her since it was given to her by her grandmother. Hopelessly Katie walked along with that girl back to the castle and without caring much about the bleeding and her wound she went to bed thinking that this was only a nightmare and when she wakes up the next morning, everything would be perfect. She have had a long day. The next morning was worse than ever. She had woken up with her hand throbbing with pain and blood all over her shirt and arm. She groaned and remembered what had happened the other night. Her other hand was covered with bruises and it felt horrible. She could remember the tight hold of one of the drunk guy who held her arm and then her hand. She couldn't believe she was abused twice in such a manner. The worse she was bankrupted which made one thing clear that she had to work harder than ever in the bookstore to earn more money. Thank goodness that the pocket money that her mother had given her wasn't in the small pouch like purse that was given to her by her grandmother instead it was in her bag that she wears on her shoulder. Oh, so she had at least some money and if she could clearly remember that it was around forty galleon which was more than enough but she couldn't overcome the loss of complete 60 galleons and god knows how much knuts. This had made her terrible and she didnt wanted to go to the hospital wing at all. Instead she wanted to meet someone. Actually she wanted to hug someone and it was none other than Nathan. It had been nearly four days since they have met each other and she was missing him so much. They were suppose to meet each other today but unfortunately she wont be able to as she had decided to work the whole day at the bookstore so she wrote him a note. She got her hand bandaged and she quickly dressed up to get ready and made her way out of the Castle and towards Daigon Alley. It was going to be so far but somehow she reached there. She worked at the Obscurus Bookshop which was definitely the best place ever for her. When she reached the bookstore, she entered in and placed her shoulder back on her table and started to wander around as different thoughts started to take over her mind and all then she remembered something that had been bothering her very much. It was about Nathan's sister--Amy Longbottom who appeared to be sick than ever. She was continuously vomiting. Katie wondered what was wrong with her and trying to be a good friend she asked her about her problem. Amy told her that she didn't have an idea about it herself. She told her that she was vomiting after her last visit with other girls to Venom Walls, the really nasty place in Knockturn Alley. Seeing the signs that Amy was showing only one thing was possible that maybe she was pregnant and when Amy told her that she didn't menstruate for two months and half, it made Katie hundred percentage sure that something was awfully wrong so Katie took her for a muggle test and after a couple of days she received the result. Katie couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing. It was stated in the report that Amy was pregnant and Katie couldn't believe her eyes. WHAT?she was..what? Katie had lost her tiniest sense after seeing Amy's report and she rechecked it just to make sure it was really Amy Longbottom's report or somebody else and she found out that it was really Amy's report. This made it hard for her to face Amy and tell her what was written in the report so she started to ignore Amy as much as she could and neither Amy seemed to be bothered about, more like she literally forgot about all the check up and tests and report. Katie didn't think she could ever dare to tell Amy about it as it was very hard for to do it. Many days had passed to it and Katie dealt with it wondering what she was to do and how she was to handle this. She needed some time to prepare herself up to go upto Amy, face her and tell her this news. Katie had been trying to avoid everyone and stay alone which made her feel terrible and lonely and she wished to meet Nathan and tell him about all the hardships she was being through but thanks to the difference in their years and tight school schedule--it made it harder for them to meet each other. Even though they were in the same common room, she hadn't been able to meet him for exactly four days, how weird for that? Aw. She so badly wanted to meet Nathan and be with him. She was missing him so much. Thanks to her worst luck and events that had happened a night ago and she had lost her money, she had to work even more harder to earn much money and be totally independent once again. She had nearly forgotten about Amy's report, oh, how could she forget about that? It was simply terrible of her but she was so scared and terrified herself. Life was so messed up once again. She had no idea what she was going to do and how she was going to deal with all of it. A heavy audible sigh escaped her lips and she brushed back her shiny blonde hair that were opened and spread on her shoulder. She looked tired and terrible as worried could be seen deposited on her face. Even though her face was still the same innocent one, it had no liveliness on it. Half of the day had passed by and still there hadn't been a customer. It could be assumed that as it was weekend, everyone would've been busy spending their weekend somewhere they could have some fun and be happy and she was stuck in a corner, sitting in her comfortable arm chair, her elbows were at the table and her face buried in her hands. The walls were filled with different types of books after all it was a little library or a bookstore in other words. She was sitting in the corner, lost in her thoughts. The heard the sound of the door opening which made her rub her face with her hands and she quickly got up to see who her customer was and what they wanted. Her arms crossed against her chest as she stood infront of her table. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Murder two had happened within a short amount of time. It was something that was causing him to worry a lot with having so many people close to him. He had his siblings which he had not seen for a while. His friends which he hardly saw as well. One person was occupying his mind and time, that person being Katie James. He was walking through the forbidden forest thinking about her as he searched for really any answers. Answers to questions of whether he should tell her that he loved her along with other questions. Nathan did not really care to go after blood since he wasn't too worried about that. He was thinking about when Katie and him would meet after spending a few days away from each other. She worked at the bookstore in diagon alley which was right near where the second murder had taken place. That was what concerned him the most that she was working at a place where a murderer was only perhaps a few feet away from. If she was to continue working at the bookstore then perhaps the worst would happen. That was something that he would not know how to deal with at all. If that did happen, well the murderer would sure as hell have someone after him, her, whoever, or whatever it was. So for the murderer's sake, it would have been best if it never returned near the bookstore. Though he wasn't really doing much to prevent any certain death of his own as he was always out at night wandering the grounds of Hogwarts. Just because Hogwarts was known as being safe, didn't mean it was. He had heard all about his father's sixth year at the school when death eaters managed to get into the castle.
As he walked through the forest, he heard the sound of someone or perhaps more than one person, running through the forest. Hiding behind a tree, but still peering to see who it was, Nathan saw a man and a woman running. The man had a purse which Nathan recognized as belonging to Katie. He got out his wand and pointed it at the man, casting a spell on the man. Stupefy to be exact. Which sent the man tripping over a root. The woman had ran much farther ahead, so she did not know that a spell hit the man. He slowly stumbled to his feet and the woman called for him to hurry up. The man ran off, forgetting the purse which was what Nathan had planned to happen. His wand was pointed towards where the purse was and he said,"Accio purse!" The purse made its way to his hand and he held it as he looked to make sure the woman and man would not return for it. They did not bother to run back, so he put his wand away and headed back to the castle since it made no sense to wait around for the two people that had left the purse behind.
Having heard about Katie's mishap, he knew that meant that they could not meet up like they had originally planned. She had left him a note letting him know that they could not meet up which confirmed it. He took it upon himself to go to the bookstore as she was going to work there rather than hang out with him. Making his way down diagon alley, he headed for the bookstore and thought about what had happened not too long ago. Kyle Wood had been murdered in the area that he was walking in. Pushing that thought out of his mind, Nathan reached the door of the bookstore and pushed it open. He walked into the bookstore and walked over to where he saw Katie. Reaching her, he handed her the purse that he had brought with him. Nathan said,"I believe you have been missing this." Planting a kiss on her cheek, he said,"I am sure you heard about Kyle Wood, so what are you still doing working here?" Why did he kiss her? Maybe because they did not see each other for quite some time.

Half of the day had passed away with miseries and sad thoughts lingering on her mind. Not even a single customer had come and this had annoyed the hell out of her. The worry of about Amy was annoying her. She sat in her chair helplessly thinking what she could do or how she could manage it. She had to tell Amy about it but she lacked the guts to go up to Amy and tell her the news. She wanted to meet Nathan and hug him as she really needed it. As compared to others, she had not been through alot but whatever she was going through was more than enough for her to deal with. Again and again, she felt the need to get up and just run away to Nathan and tell him about everything that had been bothering her. If she would've been able to then she could have done it but unfortunately it was possible. She was supposed to be doing her duty till nine pm and it was only five thirty at the moment. There were still long and ever lasting hour left behind for her to get done with her done and return back to the castle. She was tired so after walking a long distance from Diagon Alley to back to Hogwarts was going to get her even more tired and so once she was back in Hogwarts, she'd straight away head to the girls dorm and get some sleep. These were the plans that were set tonight. Her bad luck that her previous plans got cancelled, it was like, Nathan had asked her out for a walk and she had agreed to him. The whole week she had been happy that she was going to see Nathan once again and spend the whole day with him but since she was bankrupted and had lost all her money, Katie had to work the whole day at the bookstore as the weekeneds were her only working days and the salary counted on these days. She sighed heavily and stared out of the window, and then burried her face in her hands. The very moment the silent was broken when the door opened and Katie quickly stood up to see who it was. She stood against the table and looked ahead when someone walked in the store and made their way towards her. She looked upto see who it was when and noticed it to be Nathan who walked towards her. Was she day dreaming again or was it really Nathan? After his visit to her in the hospital wing, he could be expected to drop by anywhere just to meet her. Oh, how magically he had effected on her life and she was under the need to spend every minute of her life with him. A HUGE smile crossed her face and the misery faded away from her face. Her face blossomed and she smiled whole heartedly at him. He had overed to her the most familiar looking thing which was the same little pouch like purse which her grandmother had given her. What was it doing with Nathan? He said that she had been missing it and Katie blankly nodded at him. The excitement of seeing Nathan was all over her and she quickly hugged him as her arms snaked around him. ''I have only missed you so much.'' she hugged him and moved away. Pouting her lips she gently and playfully hit him oh his head. ''You're so mean and nasty! Its been four days Nathan Tyler Longbottom since we didnt see each other and you werent even bothered to come and meet me in the school. I've been staying awake till late nights waiting for you in the common room, sneaking out of the castle and roaming in the forest and grounds looking for you--hoping to step on your tail by any chance and then waiting for you near Hagrid's Hut, and hoping to catch up with you atleast there... but you were never around. I even missed my classes because of you, you know! I so wanna keel you Mister'' her eyes narrowed as she glared at him. Oh, Katie never gave up on her habit of lecturing him. It felt so good. She felt releaved after hugging him and then lecturing him, it was fun and she was only venting out. He had kissed her cheeks and her face turned red. She was blushing from top to bottom. ''Shucks Nathan! You did it again, making me blush and and look like a tomato. But this aint working on me, Mister Charmer.''she rolled her eyes. Enough if the kiss was meant to shut her up, it wasnt going to work out as she had lost her control and started to blabber. She had so much to tell him which made her talkitive towards him. ''I'm so pissed of at you. You should be badly punished'' she hissed and her green eyes still glared at him. She really wasnt angry at him, just abit annoyed so she was being sarcastic and fakely nagging at him.
She moved away from him and her pruse was still in her hands and she had not not realised that it was the same pruse that she had lost until she looked at it again. This startled her and she turned around to face him again. She opened her pruse and found golden coin of forty five galleons and eight knuts and a little old paper that was the same paper that was placed in the pure that was stolen from her. Curiously she looked at the purse again and again and recognised it to be her own purse. '' Jesus, this is the purse that was stolen from me right? its mine right? How did you get it ?'' her tone assured that she was so surprised to see her purse and have it back but the money was less. Her fifteen galleons and a couple of knuts were missing. She moved back towards him and stood against the table. She was trying to hide her bandaged hand and bruises from him because she knew if he saw them he would be very much annoyed. He was being caring all again and asking her that what was she still doing working in the Diagon Alley when she had heard about Kyle Wood's murder taking place at the same place. That had been such a terrible thing. Even though Kyle and Katie werent friends, she had known him since both shared the interest of same kind of books and the night he was murdered, he had visited the bookstore and it was Katie who had been helping him buy himself some good books. How Katie knew Kyle was through the bookstore. He had always dropped by to purchase a book and they both had discussions over books. Sadly she had never gotten a chance to know much about him but still she had shed painful tears when she heard that he had died. She didnt wanted to think about his death again and go through the pain of dealing with her emotions about it. She stiffly nodded and sighed. She needed to set her mind free and spend some good time with Nathan. She really needed a break from everything and yet again she had forgotten about Amy's report. ''Well, i work here, am i not allowed to do that Mister Longbottom? '' she teased him. For the very unknown reason, she had given him the right to impose rules on her and believe it or not she even obeyed and followed them to keep him happy. His happiness simply meant alot to her. ''Oh dont tell me that you're scared that murder might kill me or something'' she rolled her eyes and snickered. '' and even if their next target, i'll just die--and you will be without one girl less in your life and it wont really matter much you know..but trust me, you'rent getting rid of me so sooner so if i ever get killed or something, i would say back as a ghost instead of moving on and haunt you down!'' she teased him and tried to annoy him. She did try to sound silly but her words were pathetic since she was considering herself to be murdered and be dead. She could expect alot coming from Nathan inreturn.

The day had been a quiet one at Hogwarts, not many people were wandering out and about. Nathan had grown tired of it because so many people were in the castle now with all the murders going on. He was unable to sneak out as easily as he use to do, so that he could go to the forest. Though he really did not need to go there at all since he had taken his trip to the forest the night before. Worried about Katie's well being, he went to the gates of Hogwarts and left before apparating to Diagon Alley. Since his birthday was so early in the year, he was able to take his test to learn how to apparate during his sixth year. He had messed up at least once when he left behind his eye brows which was a scary sight. Though he managed to get it the next time around and thus was one of the few in the school that could apparate. It was so much easier than walking everywhere or taking a train. When he walked through the door of the bookstore, a smile appeared on Katie's face as he walked over to her which he returned with a smile of his own. She hugged him which he hugged her back obviously, before telling him that she missed him so much. Then she moved away and pouted her lips, followed by hitting him playfully on the head. She told him that it was four days since they saw each other. Nathan had to deal with his usual vampire ordeals along with being head boy. Yes, he was actually needed to wander around the halls and as for classes, he needed to pay attention in them or else he would have gotten skinned alive. Well not really, but his mind had been too full of thoughts about her. That wasn't a bad thing except when he was trying to keep high marks since he wanted to be an auror. Nathan sighed and said,"Well its hard being a vampire, headboy, in all these classes, and always trying to make time for you. If I could, I would drop all the duties that I have and just spend the days with you." He knew that she was joking when it came to saying that she wanted to kill him. She probably did not notice him wandering the forest since his animagus form always blended in well with the dark forest. Oh how he was thankful to be a black wolf rather than a white one as that would have made him stand out so much. Katie was glaring at him, but he did not return the glare. It was after all, nothing too serious. She knew that he was a busy young man that had so many duties at the school to deal with. All he ever did was go out to the forest, go to classes, fulfill his head boy duties, and spend time with her. Nathan hardly spent time with anyone else, they always saw each other at least once a week before. Though after the whole black lake incident, they had started to spend so much more time together. He had kissed her on the cheek and her face turned red. Why did he kiss her? Because he felt like it and it was to shut her up, somewhat. If he really wanted to shut her up then he would have kissed her on the lips, but he was too amused by her words at the moment. Nathan teased,"Well if I really wanted to shut you up then I would just kiss you like in the hospital wing." Katie's green eyes were rolled as she started to blabber to him. Actually she hissed at him and her green eyes still glared at him. Nathan knew it was sarcasm, much like she use to do twenty four seven before they told each other that they liked each other. He teased her yet again,"Well then punish away, besides you can't stay mad at me for long." By punish, he meant like her actually take her wand out and use a spell on him or just tell him off with more sarcasm. As for the last comment, he knew that she didn't stay mad at him for long. Sarcasm was just pure fun.
Her purse was in her hands as he had handed it to her before, so she looked through it. Since she had been so busy lecturing him, she never realized that the purse that he had given her was the one that the two people attempted to get away with. Katie looked at the purse for quite some time before asking him if it was his and how did he get it. He said,"It is yours, I was out in the forest when those two went running through. I hit stupefy on the guy and he dropped your purse, never bothered to come back for it either. The woman must have took a lot of anger out on him, they accomplished nothing much thanks to him." There was probably a few things missing as he was sure that the two looked through the purse after getting it. Katie moved back towards him and he managed to catch a glimpse of her hand, it was bandaged up. Hmm, he couldn't remember a recent full moon. Nathan asked,"Why is your hand bandaged?" He did not catch a glimpse of the bruises, but he probably would have if she wasn't trying to hide it. Nathan moved towards her a bit and his hand grasped hers, pulling it up so that he could look at it. There was bruises on the hand which was a sight that he didn't like at all. Nathan asked,"Who did that? Better yet, what happened that night?" If it was a hogwarts student then he would have went looking for the bastard. He had asked what happened that night as he had only heard about her getting her purse taken away. Not much news made its way to him as he was so busy with classes among other things. Nathan had asked her why she was still working in Diagon Alley which she teased him that she worked there. Nathan said,"You shouldn't work here.." Not one to try to take control over ones life, but he did care about people. He wasn't the type to demand something, more or less he would advice it. It would have bothered him, if he had someone setting rules for him every time he saw them. She rolled her eyes and snickered as she said stuff about the murderer. Nathan said,"If anyone would die, it wouldn't be you. It would be me, after all the more well known families have been losing relatives." The murderer had targetted the Zabinis and the Woods. Who was next? The Longbottoms? Nathan would have preferred himself to be the next target than his two younger siblings. If either of them died then he would probably be full of a lot of guilt. After all, it was his job to look after them and he had already failed a bit at that when his sister revealed that she was a werewolf. He had no teasing tone in his voice as he was serious. Nathan said,"It would matter more than you know, if the murderer was to kill you. If you come back as a ghost then I might as well be a ghost with you." That last part had a bit of a teasing tone as well, would he really want to be dead, if she was to die? Maybe, but that all seemed too Romeo and Julietish. Plus, he was sure that they weren't going to get killed. Hopefully.
