Madison Britney Sullivan sat on top of her bed, books spread every which way in front of her as she scanned through them, looking for the answer. The Seventeen year old had been searching through the books for at least an hour now and had yet to find a useful spell to go along with her Essay on enlargement spells and well their were a few she could find, but none she really needed. A sigh escaped the girls’ lips as she closed the last book she’d taken from the library and sat back on her legs, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. Her brown eyes scanned across the covers of the book for a moment and shook her head, before deciding to give up on this, at the moment. Madison collected the books from her bed and lined them up in a pile on top of the other before making her way out of the room and down the stairs. As she went a few people looked her way with odd stairs, and a couple of guys offered to help her, to which she politely declined and continued her way out of the common room. She had only managed to drop a couple books on her way, before she finally gave in and took help from her brother when she’d managed to collide with him on the second floor.
I’m really sorry, Ry, I didn’t see you.
She said as he handed the half of the books he’d taken, back over to her.
Would you stop apologizing, its fine, thankfully it was me you ran into, and not someone who would have hexed you first and asked questions later, you know for a seer you really should have seen that coming.
Ryan told her with a shake of his head as he opened the door to the library for her.
Would you hush, I don’t want people to know that honey bee.
She said sending a glare his way for just a moment and it softened moments later.
Still I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to, but thanks for the help, we’ll talk later Ok?
She said leaning over and kissing his cheek before he could respond and left him at the door heading inside toward the back of the library. It was a habit of hers to immediately head toward the back. Madison wasn’t very fond of being interrupted when she was busy doing something, especially if it was studying, so the back of the library was always a good place. She softly placed the books on the desk and headed towards the shelves to scan for more books.
The dark haired girl bit her lip in concentration as her brown eyes trailed over the spines of the book for anything that looked interesting. Occasionally she would pull one out and flip through it briefly before putting it aside on the nearest table, carrying it in her arms or just setting it back on the shelf. Soon enough she had a pile of books that would rival the other she had come in with. This was going to take her forever to sort through. A sigh escaped her lips for a moment as she made her way back to the table, only to run into it and sending the pile of books toppling to the ground, making the few people around her glare for the noise she was causing.
Great, I am such a klutz.
Madison muttered to herself tucking a piece of her dark curly hair behind her ear and bending down to pick up the fallen books.
