class had been out for maybe 30 minutes so far and bryn had still yet to even consider going back to the dorms. she'd needed some fresh air, the rain had kept her inside for the past few days, her fear of thunderstorms getting the better of her. pushing her bangs out of her face, she climbed one of the hills and smiled as she looked around the beautiful grounds of hogwarts. sure, she had hills back home, she had mountains and wide open spaces, but there was just something about hogwarts that made her love it so much more. not that she'd ever admit it to anyone, she loved the ranch too much, but she could at least tell it to herself.
from where she stood, she could see all the grounds. the lake, the fields, the forest. . . the forest. . . thinking back to that day she'd spent out there a week ago. . . with matt. she didn't remember much after she'd passed out, all that she could even remember from before that was just about shooting matt with an arrow, everything after that was a little bit more than just fuzzy, she knew that she'd woken up in the hospital wing, but beyond that, she didn't know what all had happened. yet, ever since that afternoon, she wondered what would have happened if she hadn't shot him and then passed out.
crossing her arms over her chest, bryn shook her head. no, she was just planning on enjoying the day today. the first day with sunshine, so a perfect day for a walk and some music. hitting the play button on her ipod, she hummed along to the song that came on. it was a muggle song, but at least it was a good song. pulling her bookbag around in front of her, she sat down on the grass, stretching her feet out in front of her and leaning back against her hands. closing her eyes, she lifted her face to the sky and sighed, ah relaxing.

A week had passed since the little adventure in the forbidden forest which involved a rather awkward situation. Getting hit with an arrow in the arm by a girl. Matthew was used to getting hit by girls such as with a slap to the face for being such a jackarse to them, but to get hit with an arrow? It was by accident and by a girl that he didn't know as well as he knew the other girls. Sure, he had ended up being her date to the ball that took place so long ago, but they were not the best of friends or anything like that. After being hit with the arrow, Matt ended up carrying her back to the castle since she had passed out at the sight of his blood. Since that day, he wasn't seen much around the girl. It was probably the only time that he had actually done something nice for someone, taking her to the hospital wing rather than just leaving leave her out in the forest, was one of those times. Class had finally ended for Matt which was a relief as spring was in effect now and that meant the weather outside was too good to be sitting around in the castle all day. Not bothering to head back to the common room to change out of his slytherin robes, he headed out to the grounds where he could enjoy the weather since the past few days had been nothing but thunderstorms.
Pushing his hand through his hair to make his hair stand up, he walked towards a tree to sit against. One of his hobbies besides girls involved practicing spells on random things, after all he wasn't the most popular guy in school with tons of friends. Before reaching the tree though, his eyes caught sight of a familiar face, Bryn. She appeared to be listening to some muggle device and humming along to the words. Matt had been curious as to what exactly was going on between the two. First the ball then the forest, something strange was going on between the two, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it at all. Deciding to spook her as payback for the arrow, he sat down next to her and said,"I could've sworn those muggle devices weren't allowed here." He had a smirk on his face as well, who really cared about muggle devices? Only people, who were not purebloods cared about the devices. Matt had simply said something about it because it was a way to bring up some form of conversation with the girl. He wasn't sitting too close to her either since he knew that she would probably be taken back that he was sitting next to her and actually really didn't speak in a harsh tone. However, his next statement would be a bit harsh. Matt asked,"So no arrows today? Pity, I was hoping to cause you to faint again.." Why did he have to bring it up? Maybe because his ego wanted to say that she fainted due to his good looks, but he kept the comment to himself since he would use it later, if she replied back to him.
