- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - `Lisa stood up and stretched her arms above her head, it was early and she'd not been able to sleep. She'd been potions professor for about two weeks now and already she felt like she was going insane. Being auror seems easier than teaching. She thought to herself but then remembered the good parts of teaching and sighed, really she'd just wanted to catch up with Jason and Xander.
Sitting at her desk, `Lisa glanced over what she was teaching tomorrow, debating on if she'd have to worry about something or someone blowing up...again. Glancing around, `Lisa looked at the classroom, her classroom. Unlike how it was when she was in the class, now all the lights were on, candles lit. The room wasn't dark and gloomy anymore. It actually felt like other classrooms, the walls were bare, other than pictures that showed vials and different colored potions inside. Some had labels under them, explaining what they did and explanation on why it was dangerous or hard to make.
The auror was proud that she'd taken over the subject, she'd always loved potions but all her teachers un-nevered her about how they kept the classroom dark. Reasoning behind why a potion exploded when I added the wrong ingredient. She thought to herself, suppressing a laugh. `Lisa could still remember the loud boom, and then glancing at Xander and Jason that were on either side of her and all three of them where dripping with the purple liquid. They'd all been stuck in the hospital wing for the rest of the week. Madam Pumfrey had said they were lucky they weren't stuck in St. Mungles.
The memory made her grin and a thought came to mind and her grin grew bigger. `Lisa stood, she was in her jeans and a fitted blue collar shirt. She only wore wizard robes when it was a class day, being the weekend, she wasn't going to be found in one. Expecto Patronum. `Lisa said and watched as white smoke came from her wand and formed the shape leopard. Go to Xander and Jason and say...Come to my classroom immediately, I need guinea pigs, please? She asked, laughing the whole time. The leopard nodded and then turned and ran off, hopefully towards her two friends.
As she waited, `Lisa walked over to one of the potion brewing tables and began sorting through which potion she wanted to mix. Mainly she just wanted to be with her friends again, they'd all grown and she also wanted to know if Xander had told Jason about him going undercover as a death eater... But that was his choice on when to tell Jason, but still. She missed them, and no matter how old they got, she still wanted to be around them.
After a few minutes, two cauldrons and a random mix of ingredients were surrounding them. Most of the ingredients were going to Jamie's drought of the living death. She had to make some for a show to her students, but the other was an exploding potion that she'd tried once...and it worked...ish. Hm, I may just use this on them if they don't hurry, She said while laughing and pictured Madam Pumfrey having three professors in her office...and then she pictured the headmistress glaring at them. It amazed me that she hired all three of us. `Lisa said to herself before glancing at the door to her classroom when it let out a squeek. Her hair brightened slightly by itself, Well took you long enough, OOC || Words || 673 Tagged || Xander and Jason Color('s) || `Lisa - 974eacMuse || Really good. Notes || Well, ya'lls turn. Xander sat alone in his office. He had absolutely nothing to do. Leaning backward in his high-backed chair, the professor propped his feet up on the edge of his desk. Several papers were in front of him, all of which needed to be graded. Something was missing though. He could probably pass every single one of his students, but did that truly mean they were getting the information he was trying to teach? No, probably not. He took a deep breath. These kids didn't know the first thing about evil. Hell, there were only a handful who could see a thestral.
Professor Pooter shook his head in dismay. There had to be a way for him to teach the students...and not get any of them permanently admitted to St. Mungo's. Madam Pomfry had already sent him a most grievous owl and surely the headmistress would sack him if he put any more students in the hospital wing. But, he refused to teach his students from a text book. Too many teachers had done that to him in his years at Hogwarts for him to do it to anyone else. So, how could he teach without causing injury.
If he paired students up and had them go against each other like the infamous Dumbledor's Army, he'd have to be extremely careful not to pair students who were at ends with each other. Someone could truely get hurt in that situation. There weren't enough hours in the day to personally tutor each individual student, so that wasn't a logical option. Suddenly an idea struck him that was so incredibly simple, he laughed outloud. Why didn't he think of that to begin with? It would have saved loads of time for thought. No matter...
Quickly, he leaned forward in his chair, putting his long legs under the desk and picking up a quill. No sooner had the quill dipped into the ink when a pretty patronus charm in the shape of a leopard. Xander smiled. He could recognize 'Lisa's patronus anywhere. He and his best friend James had been there when the charm first took shape for her. The wizard smiled at the memory. Suddenly, a crystal voice emenated from the charm. It was extremely difficult to send messages as such. Few wizards or witches could master the art. 'Lisa had.
"Come to my classroom imediately, I need guinea pigs, please?"
The white figure turned and bounded back out of his office. His face visibly pailed and he groaned. Being his best friend's guinea pig had never appealed to him. But, he refused to look like a coward and quail from the tast. Even the time when he drank one of 'Lisa's potions and head feathers for a week. Or the time he drank a vile of cherry tasting blue stuff and every hair on his body fell out, grew back, and feel out again. He shed like a dog for weeks and had a really bad itch...everywhere.
But, since he was a man, he wouldn't back down. So...instead of doing what was probably the better idea -- i.e. hiding under his desk until the sun set in the west, Xander stood, brushed himself off, and walked through his classroom, into the hall, down several flights of stairs, through a ghost or two, between two students who were making out in the hall, down another few flights of stairs -- for they moved on him, down a secret passageway, down a spiral staircase, down one last hallway, and finally through the door of the potions classroom.
"Well, took you long enough."
Xander smiled, good naturedly. 'Lisa had always been like that. It was one of the traits he admired about her. He walked further into her classroom, stopping a few feet from her. The tall man bowed low from the waist, sweeping in an elegant show of mocking respect. He always did have a 'way' with the ladies.
"Xander Dammit Pooter, at your service, Madam."

there was something satisfying about enjoying a good book at the end of a day. the fire in the fireplace behind his desk flickered and crackled peacefully as jason deen turned the page. glancing up at the two students who were still in the classroom, cleaning up the mess they'd made of a tea cup and a rat, he shook his head and sighed. there was no getting through to some of these students. they thought that transfiguration was as easy as snapping one's finger. and while that may have been true for the ex-auror, it wasn't for the students.
professor, can you show me just once more, please?
[/b][/i] closing the book and setting it on his desk, jason got to his feet and limped over to the young second year girl. due to the weather lately, his leg had been acting up, making him actually miss his old days as an auror. well, not that he didn't miss them every day of his life, but. . . these were the ones that really tried him. leaning against the table where the girl sat, he motioned for her to try once more, the tea cup quivering on the table. give it a shot, anna, you know that you can do it.[/b] normally, he didn't let students attempt things and attempt things, especially not when it endangered a nice piece of pottery, but there was just something about the glint in her eye that reminded him of his two friends. without even turning his eyes, jason muttered. i wouldn't do that if i were you, jeramiah.[/b] judging by the silence, the boy hadn't obeyed his warning. all while still watching anna attempt to transfigure the tea cup into a feather, he mumbled a spell that soon had the boy shrieking. listening to the soft thud as a snake hit the floor, jason glanced over his shoulder at what had been his cane and the ravenclaw boy who was scrambling to get out of the room. but, a feather was now sitting on the table. told you you could do it, anna. jeramiah, i expect you'll respect people's property, am i wrong?[/b] turning his grey eyes on the boy, he watched as he nodded and then ran out of the classroom, the heavy wooden doors slamming behind him. damn i miss corporeal punishment. . . [/b] he mumbled to himself as he limped back to his desk, picking up the snake as he went. not too shabby for once, it was a reasonably sized snake. nodding to himself, he listened as the young girl wandered out of the room herself, the soft click of the door leaving the room dead silent. mumbling the reversal spell, he set the cane back on the edge of the desk. Come to my classroom immediately, I need guinea pigs, please?[/b][/i] glancing around, jason chuckled. ah, the leopard patronus of the one and only 'lisa deveroux. muttering, he picked up his wand and cane and headed out towards the dungeon. the last few of the students were still scuttling back towards common rooms, deserted corners, the usual. but the dungeon was empty. great. no witnesses for the torture that was about to ensue. josylnn elisa deveroux, i swear on that monkey skeleton that if you turn me into a newt again. . .[/b] his clear australian accented voice pretty much his fanfare as he pushed the doors open to the potions classroom. he could already see xander standing there, bowing to their female friend. kiss up.[/b] he joked as he walked to stand next to the dada teacher. and you know how much i like that monkey skeleton.[/b] it was true, he loved that little monkey skeleton. . . then again, he'd known the monkey. a little souvenir they'd brought back from a trip to russia with the aurors. 'lisa had mearly won the coin toss. ooc; word count; more than y'alls. xD colour; jason - 99ccff tag; tuna and sky other; <3 the monkey. [/i] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
