Summer brought back all the memories to her just as the sun shined above in the sky. Those days of love were blissful when she used to with the most famous young man of hogwarts, known as Nathan Longbottom. It would be a surprise to many of 'em but not a matter that would make any difference to her since she was over with him, actually it was him who broke up with her. The abrupt changes in Nathan's personality and his words that were dictated to her regarding their break up, shattered her heart into pieces and she felt torn apart. When she tried to work out things between 'em and get back together, he turned against her and when she realised that he was starting to test her temper and step on her nerve, she gave up on him. There were way too many reasons for her to give up on him, one among them was that he was way too hard to get and she knew that if she tried to bossy over him then he'd definitely show her his worst side and she would even loose him as a friend. That was what she never wanted. So what if she couldnt have him as a lover, havin' him as her best friend by her side would be the most beautiful thing in the world. Not everytime she could go in the way she wanted 'em to be and what she feared had happened. Nathan has stopped considerin' Amber as his best friend and treated her badly, even more worse than filth or maybe she was only exaggerating it but whatever it was, she still have lost her friend and she wished to get him back as a friend. With the things that were goin' on and changes were comin' into his personality, he seemed to be hating every single thing about her which tore the two of 'em apart and her love for him changed into lust. The last time she got lucky enough to bed with him was in the Venom walls by meetin' him in the three broomsticks and getting him drunk and also blackmailing him. That night there was passion and everything seemed to be perfect while the next morning things were messy. Before life got even more worse she decided to walk out of his life but still remained around him and used her minding readin' power to know everything that was going on with him.
Recently there was something she needed to tell him and she wanted to know what he had to say. Even though she wasnt completely going to be honest with him but she wanted to know how he'd react to it and what he'll have to say about it. She wanted to know that how much did he still care and inorder to do so she sat with him in their potion class and asked him to meet her where they met for the first time. Could anyone guess the place? It was the Astronomy Tower. It was around 10 pm and the night was comparatively better than any other night of summer, perhaps it was because it had rained today. She was a pink and purple shirt and shorts. Her hair were untidy and spread all over her shoulder and some of 'em fell onto her eyes. She was sitting on the floor and facing the window. Her eyes were sparkling with tears as she looked outside the window and into the darkness, remembering how it felt to be in the same place with someone she had loved for the first time even more than herself. Older days were golden days and she knew that she couldnt get back to those days. Nathan was better off with katie james and the two of 'em were madly in love and inseperable. She couldnt help but smile at the two of 'em and hoped that Katie would always keep up with Nathan cause if she wont and hurt Nathan then whether Nathan want it or not, Amber wont be sparing Katie for it. There were two butterbeer bottles kept next to her. One was open and the other one was sealed. Amber picked up her bottle and took a sip of it, and she had done this so many times that the bottle was half empty yet she wasnt drunk. She looked around as misery and frustration held her. where on the hell was Nathan Longbottom? was he ever going to come? she was feeling such a loner and she hated feeling so, also for the first time she wanted to be honest to him and he wasnt there to listen to her.Unable to control her frustration she hit the bottle on the wall and it fell into pieces. she picked up the pieces and pressed one among the glass piece into her hand and the next minute there was blood dripping down. It wasnt a small cut, but a pretty deep one. She closed her eyes and tears rolled down her eyes. There was misery, sadness, pain and now blood. Was this love that was getting her this crazy? or was she drunk? blood continued to drip down the cut and that also like a river, it was draining away all her blood and reddness from her face was fading away into paleness . There was blood everywhere, on her dress, on the floor and one the glass pieces. So much had happened with her to end her night and still Nathan had not come. Now the question is, will Nathan ever come or Amber will simply pass out tonight by cutting her veins, cause in case nobody knew, she was secretly planning to do so.

After a few months of not speaking, Amber had decided to ask him to meet her in the astronomy tower which was the first place that they had met so long ago. The two had dated for quite a while which actually turned out to be the longest relationship that Nathan had been in. Even longer than the current one that he was in with Katie James, who he was married to. Though since his personality changed and their relationship went into a different direction with it becoming more lust than love, he broke up with Amber. Since his seventh year, he had been keeping away from her, especially after what happened at the three broomsticks followed by the venom walls incident. It wasn't all for the simple fact that he was a bit annoyed with her, it was also that he had other responsibilities. Katie, head boy duties, being a vampire. All of those things required time which made it hard for him to do much within the limited time that was set by whoever decided that only twenty four hours would be in a day. Those were things that would've been a good way of describing why he didn't see her much though after the incident, well he was keeping far away from her. She had blackmailed him and ended up getting him drunk the last time they had met, so he wasn't going to allow himself to fall into one of those tricks again. Was Nathan a bit pissed off with her? Sure, considering she had blackmailed him. He wasn't completely pissed off at her since he knew it was partly his fault as well, but if she would've just left him alone or something then nothing would've happened that night.
Did Nathan still consider Amber as a close friend? He wasn't entirely sure as friends normally would not blackmail each other. Even though they didn't have a close relationship anymore, he felt as if she was still reading his mind as she sometimes tended to do. If she had been then she would've known that he was still a bit pissed off about what had happened months ago along with the fact that he was married to Katie. Having been asked to the astronomy tower, Nathan decided that he would go. If she had been reading his mind as he thought then she would hopefully know better than to try what she had done in the three broomsticks. This was perhaps a last chance for Amber to prove herself as a friend and not someone that just wanted to sleep with him. Dealing with a few slytherins, who just loved to annoy him with the fact that a Longbottom was in slytherin, he was running late to what time that she was expecting him in the tower. Unluckily for the slytherins, he hadn't been in the best moods since his sister had left Hogwarts and he sure wasn't going to put up with their words. He just used a simple spell to cause them to dance away nonstop since he was head boy after all and didn't want to be caught using a spell such as stupefy on them. Heading up the stairs of the astronomy tower, it felt cooler as he took each step further up. His wand was still in his hand since he was sure that the slytherins would follow him, if they had a clue as to where he went after they were able to stop dancing. Reaching the tower, he opened the door and peered inside, seeing no one. Muttering under his breath, the spell 'lumos', he pointed his wand at the side of the tower with hardly any windows which showed nothing. Then he moved the wand slowly towards the side with more windows. The light engulfed that side of the room slightly and glass could be seen on the ground. As the light moved, it caught the sight of Amber Everdeenie.
Lowering his wand, he walked over to her and asked,"Amber, wha...what did you do?" He had immediately seen the blood on her dress, actually it was just about everywhere. As for why he had asked what she did, well he hadn't seen anyone come down the stairs from the tower before he had come up. The color seemed to be gone from her face and he noticed her hand was bleeding along with the discarded piece of glass nearby. She had cut herself? Having known her for so long, this was something completely out of her character. Nathan was kneeling down on one knee as he looked at the cut for a moment. No, he wasn't thinking about biting her though his vampire trait was willing to do that though he was doing his best to just ignore that. Having learned before from what happened with Katie, he had paid more attention when he was able to learn about healing spells. The cut was pretty deep though he was positive that he could potentially heal it. Nathan grabbed her hand gently and pointed his wand at it, muttering a spell under his breath. The cut began to heal as he held her hand. Okay sure, he was pissed off with her, but he couldn't exactly leave her there to bleed until she passed out. No matter how much damage she had done to him with the mind games, he just wasn't the type to leave someone to bleed to death or die. The cut healed within a few moments and he let go of her arm. He pointed his wand at the glass around and muttered another spell which caused the glass to float in the air for just a second before turning to dust. Nathan asked,"Care to tell me why you were attempting to make yourself pass out? Surely that could've been done easier without the glass." He had put his wand away since he didn't really need it anymore. It was highly doubtful now that she could do anything else to harm herself with the glass gone. He said in a bit of a sad tone,"I'm hoping this wasn't a way to repair our friendship cause bleeding isn't exactly necessary as much as talking. Though talking never quite works out for us..." What gave him the idea that it had to do with being friends again? Well, he just had that feeling since after all, they had known each other for a long time. His last comment was reference to what had happened the last time that they had attempted to have a conversation with each other. As for the sad tone, well it was because everyone always seemed to get hurt because of him.
