Day was gone and night had arrived, as the students piled into the great hall for dinner, chatters and laughs could be heard. Most of the students were there about to fill their empty stomachs with the food prepared by the house elves. Though often there were a few who chose to skip the night meal, for whatever reason it could be. One of those students were Makeena Sullivan, young 16 year old Ravenclaw student. Though often Ravenclaws did skip their dinner to spend more time in the library for studying and what not, Makeena skipped her dinner for definitely different reasons. Seeing as it was the weekend and she had spend her whole afternoon out and about, she couldn?t be bothered with sitting in the great hall, attempting to make conversation with a bunch of people she didn?t really like much. Her friends had headed off and were prolly have a blast at nightclubs and what not, an invitation was extended to her but she chose to sit out on this one night. She was in no mood for anything loud music and such, instead she wanted some quiet, some peace, time for her to sit and think for a bit. The solitude she was searching for would soon be found tonight. With all her dorm mates gone, Makeena let out a soft sigh of relief as the room fell silent once again. She ran her slender fingers quickly through her long black hair as she got off her large four poster. She slipped out of her shirt and shorts and put on her school uniform, the crisp white blouse, pleated skirt and Ravenclaw tie. It sure wasn't what she felt like wearing or wanted to wear but seeing as after dinner she had duty to do she had to stay in uniform. She grabbed her wand and house robes, and then walked out of her dorm and then the common room. Descending the stairs, she was soon at the near the great hall and the entrance.
Upon stepping out of the huge grey brick castle, a gush of wind came by, sending a quick chill up her spine. She loosened her tie and let out a deep breath. It was a quiet night, the full moon giving off a faint light, a handful of stars plastering themselves on the night canvas. It was indeed a nice night out and she was glad that she had chosen to skip dinner to take a walk. Seeing as once dinner was over, there would be students roaming about, restoring the atmosphere to a noisy one. She knew many students who would choose to head out into the forbidden forest but Makeena never liked the place oh no, not with her hatred and fear she had for the wolves that was most likely to be lurking around. Instead Makeena headed towards the black lake where she liked it more, it was usually calm during a time like this . Walking slow steps she was soon standing by the lake where it was said a large sea monster lived in and would appear when disturbed. She herself has never had any encounters with this famous creature and well she couldn't care any less . She sat down by the lake and leaned back against a large rock, she could feel the most hard texture against her back and she was fine with it. Tilting her head up towards the night sky, she allowed herself to take in the beauty. She was so spaced out that she didn't hear the footsteps nearing .
