Artemis sat, carefully perched on a rock beside the great lake. The moonlight shone on her hair, making it appear to be pure silver. She twirled her wand between her fingers, staring up at the night sky. It was a full moon tonight, something she had always loved, especially at Hogwarts. The moon was bright enough to light the area as there was not a cloud in the sky. She was out way past curfew, but didn’t care. She just needed to get away from the castle, away from the rest of the people there. She wasn’t particularly in the mood for company, hence her perch, placed so precariously.
She was in a very bad mood. The anniversary of her mother’s death was fast approaching, which meant her father would go on a month long bender. Which also meant, that there was a good chance he would screw up, leave the house, and get caught.
She lived a complicated life, but had gotten used to it, for the most part. Succumbing to the anger now coursing through her body, which happened whenever she thought about her past, she picked up a large rock and threw it at the lake. Surprisingly enough, it made her feel slightly better. So she did it again. And again. She became so absorbed by the sound of the splashing water that she didn’t even notice the figure approaching her.

Not only Artemis was the one who lived a complicated life. Sonne's parents mostly forgot about her and when she was visiting her home, they were all the time at their works and when they came... They mostly ignored her like she was some kind of a stray. Cool, huh? But she was already used to it. She was sure of it that they will buy her a new appartment when she'll get 17 and then she would just leave them, and let work in peace. She snorted quietly. Work in peace, rest in peace... She doupted that they would see any difference.
This night she didn't have to use the wand. The moonlight was showing her the way to the lake. Everything was clear this evening. And what she wanted was a peace and quiet. Though, Slytherins don't have friends. Only allies, the common room was still full of noise what she hated. Even her cat has gone somewhere, leaving her all alone there. Sonne didn't actually care if someone would just come and get her because she was up so late. What did she do anyways? Nothing. Only taking a walk.
Of course Flinch would send her into someone's office and just beg to punish her himself. But no one would do that. Besides, people these days were so off with the detentions. Maximum was only one essay and so on. She rolled her eyes and sighed quietly. She has never been on a detention. And as she could play as sly as every slytherin was, she probably never will be on one.
She pushed her blue hair away from her face and looked around. Then she saw one siluette near the lake, sitting on a stone. Sonne raised her eyebrows, surprised, that someone was here at this time. She stepped closer, not even thinking about who it may be. Maybe a professor? Prefect? Someone else? She grinned. And so? When she was close to her, she sat on the stone and smiled. “Nice moon, don't you think?“ she asked, looking up at the sky.
