-----Hair: nick's hair colour is a dark brown, an almost exact equal to the shade of his father's. it is curly most often and falls into his face, despite his attempts at changing it. when he cuts it, it often grows back quickly to how it was before he'd had it cut. he has grown used to it and often calls it his 'girl magnet', because he claims that girls love to play with his often untamed curls.
-----Body type: nick is quite tall, yet he was more on the slender, lanky side before his change. ever since his change into a vampire, he has been more of a built, athletic type of guy with more of a long torso than long legs. seeing as nobody knows about him being a vampire, nick uses the excuse that he worked out and played a lot of rough Quidditch to build up his once lacking physique.

Nick is a more caring, courageous person. He will take risks and go beyond the limit if it means helping out himself or a friend. He loves knowledge and the acknowledges the importance of intelligence about magic for the future. He is a listener as well as a talker in the conversation, and although he may come across as timid or shy in the beginning, Nick is often the life of the party or a leaning shoulder to his friends.
Nick has a sense of decency for girls. While some of the guys at Hogwarts have a need to play girls and use them for their own benefit, Nick prefers to treat a lady like a lady and make her as comfortable and pleased in the relationship as possible. Nick may be protective, but is not easily jealous of anyone. If someone hurts him, though, Nick is inclined for vengeance or for at least giving the person a piece of his mind. That he obviously inherited from his mother, Ginny. He will fight for what he believes in, and doesn't mind the odd duel from time to time, be it magical and not physical. he's never considered himself a physical fighter, but if the need arises, he will put his dukes up and fight like a man.

-----history: Nicholas James Potter was the second child and second boy born into the Potter family. His elder brother was Simon, born just a year before him. Nick was conceived in Godric's Hollow, just like all of his siblings were. He grew up playing with the Lupin's twin boys, and also with his siblings. As a child, he looked up to his brother the most as someone who could show him the way as they grew older. They learned about what magic was, and about how hopefully some day they'd be wizards and witches just like their parents. Nick had also bonded with his father quite well, and had sneaked through the history books they'd held about how Harry Potter had saved the Wizarding World with the help of Uncle Ron, Aunt Hermione and everyone else who had helped. It was also then that he learned why the Lupin boys were always over all the time - their parents had died in the war. When Simon was accepted into Hogwarts, along with the Lupin twins, Nick was left with two younger sisters who mostly pestered him to play with them. That was when he started getting into music. He acquired a Muggle guitar from grandfather, and learned notes all on his own, by ear. It made the year without any guy friends around to play with more easy to get through. It was his escape whenever mother would scold him about sneaking about the house without permission, and would be his way to ease any stressful emotions.
A year later, Nick was taken in by Hogwarts, and brought his guitar along just in case he needed to work out any difficult situations by playing music. Although he'd prepared himself for Gryffindor like his parents, he wasn't placed there. Nor was he in Slytherin like his older brother. The disappointment was hidden as the Sorting Hat yelled out a hefty RAVENCLAW! and he stepped down to join his classmates. Wasn't Ravenclaw the smart House? Well, he'd just have to deal, which he in fact did. Nick got accustomed to being away from his brother, who had become a much less pleasant person since his arrival to Slytherin, and Nick learned the ways of a Ravenclaw. He did not mind any other House, but held a bit of a disposition from his older brother, who had separated from his former self to meet with a new, harsher one. The next two years went by with a blur of schoolwork and friends and social events and dances. Nick was really getting used to Hogwarts, and by his Third Year, really felt comfortable staying some minor holidays. It was also that year that changed everything for Nick. He was sitting by the Lake one night by himself, right before curfew, playing guitar and listening to the Merpeople as they sang a carefully made song to go with his melodic tune. Right then and there, a stranger, an old vampire, came from behind and bit him. The pain of it lasted for days, and he hid away, only confiding in the head of hogwarts about his condition. He did all of his homework in a confined space, and was given vials of blood to deal with his condition. By the time he returned, he was a vampire, a bit more built and pale looking than normal but otherwise completely fine, and looked like he'd just hit puberty and was now a changed man - at thirteen.
He hid the fact that he was a vampire from the world, and made it very secretive whenever he went out hunting. Nick could not tell anyone - how wold they react? It was a fear of people treating him differently, and telling Simon would probably be the worst because his once good friend was now a Slytherin - someone who he could not just go around telling all of his secrets to. Things were different, and he was sure that telling his little sisters would be hell he'd make them pay later because they'd tell mother or father. Nick did not want to displease either of his parents, they had no idea how Nick would feel. He would feel ashamed, he already did, especially since he did not know who had bitten him, attacked him on that very night three years ago. He acted like everything was normal, attempted to control his urges for blood in public by mixing blood into his drinks whenever he had them, and hunting out in silence, in the shadowed and concealing night.
