Oh how the days were passing by faster than Nathan could count, the sun was now down and showing on some other side of the planet. Now the moon shined brightly in the sky and the clouds were dark gray. The sky would have been a pitch black, had it not been for so many clouds. Not many students went around wandering at night, but it was still before they were suppose to be in their common rooms. The moon was a half moon and shined brightly over the lake. Nearby the lake, was an animal. The animal did not appear to be a werewolf as it was not even as huge as they were. It looked to be an animal that a muggle would see in those places called zoos. It left behind paw prints as it walked through the water's shore. Those paw prints quickly disappeared due to the water. The wolf, himself, was a good swimmer and had not come out to swim tonight. His piercing yellow eyes looked ahead and saw no one. The peace of the lake was the perfect time for him to wander, a time when he could just be in his wolf form. The wolf stepped out of the water and continued to walk around nearby the lake. He was going to continue to walk as he had not used this form as much as he had done when he first learned it. As for his other half, being a vampire, he was not going to go out to satisfy his thirst. Instead, he would wait until the morning.
The experience of walking on four legs took a lot to get use to as all humans walked on two legs. Yes, this was not a real black wolf. Instead, it was a student in his animagus form. The student was Nathan Longbottom and this form was not a secret to many except a few that he had never told. He had learned how to transform into a wolf during his fifth year and it was actually very useful. Most of the time, he would try to be in his wolf form, while trying to get to the forest. That way no one would ever guess it being him to go out to the forest and instead, it was just a black wolf. He laid down nearby the lake, right next to a tree. No, he was not going to sleep outside, but he was instead watching the water move. He also had decided to lay down as no one as far as he knew, was outside and wandering about. His tail was in the path that most students would use to walk down to the water, but no one was in sight. His piercing yellow eyes just looked at the water as it moved calmly for once. He closed his eyes and seemed to drift off.
If there was a bad thing about him possibly drifting off, it was the fact that someone was heading down to the black lake using the path that his tail laid across. Another bad thing was that anyone could have been watching him. An enemy could have been watching him and was waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Nathan had no wand as he was in his animagus form, so if anyone wanted to attack then they could do it with ease. The person was walking along the path and was not paying attention at all. Before she was to reach the lake, she stepped on his tail. Boy, did that make his eyes open. His eyes opened and the girl quickly moved away from the wolf, not knowing who it was. When she had stepped on his tail, he had let out a growl as he was annoyed by her action. His yellow eyes met hers and he knew who it was without her even saying a word. Nathan thought it would have been funny a bit to have stayed in his wolf form. However, in order to respond back to the girl, he would have to be in his human form. The wolf got up and as he walked away from her for a minute, he changed into Nathan. Nathan looked back at the girl and asked,"So what are you doing here, late at night?"

a beautiful night it was, wouldnt it be the best if the little innocent looking girl was curled under her blanket and reading some story book she fancied. why it would be but today she seemed to be trying out something else, seemed like she was breaking a rule and out of the castle, near the black lake where she was taking a walk. There were way too many things in her mind that worried her but she denied to care for them and emptied her head trying not to worry herself for now and have a peaceful time in the silent and cold atmosphere. It was windy but slightly cold. She wasnt in her school robes. she was wearing a plain teal colour sweater to keep her warm and she wore sandles and socks. can you believe that? it wasnt like that at all, just that she didnt like getting dressed up for every single little thing. she cared more about how she felt comfortable, and kept herself warm in cold weather and what made her look neat.
All of a sudden she felt like something had come under her sandle when she had turned around under the tree. How on the earth had she not noticed such a huge creature sitting just beside her? well, she had just walked and leaned against the tree and when she turned around she had stamped on the dark wolf's tail. ouch. when those yellow eyes of the creature meet her blue eyes, it sent a chill down her sphine and she wondered whether what was to happen next? she felt so regreted when the wolf all of the sudden stood up on its four legs and she felt like this was going to be her pay back time as she assumped that the wolf might attack her now that it was a wild animal resting under the tree, near the lake side and in Hogwarts' area.
What on the earth will an animal be doing in such a place? surely it had some wild reasons that she wasnt willing to know so she stepped back, a soft gasp escaping her lips but here assumption went wrong , they failed as the wolf turned his back on her and walked away. She was already taken aback and now she grew curious why was the wolf being so good to her? she curiously looked at wolf that turned away and so she looked around wondering what did that suppose to mean. She was expecting alot much worse from the wolf but her thoughts were cutt off when she heard a voice. It was a stronge and rough voice, she felt like she had heard it somewhere before as she turned around she saw somebody she had been so used to see and hear about. He was so famous. Wealthy longbottom, famous for his personlity and good looks, girls were all over him but to Katie he was not less an arrogant little fool. She used to get annoyed him , actually she easily got annoyed by everybody but he was a different case, he had picked up on her when she was new to hogwarts, in her first year and in his second year. He was such an arrogant person and his arrogantness made her bitterly dislike him. students had laughed at her when Nathan was picking on her. It was such a devastating thing but she didnt show her weakness and neither she cried, she had managed to walk away with an angry look on her face shwoing how much tough she was but really look inside and you'll know that she's as fragile as a glass.
If only he had been little good to her that time then they might've been friends but whom're you kidding? even though she was herself full of attitude and arrogance and ignorance, she just dont like people with such arrogance and attitude or ignorance. On seeing his face she rolled her eyes and leaned against the tree. right at the moment he'd be the last person she wanted to see. She was still in a shocked state and why wouldnt she be afterall she was scared of wild animals. even though she was herself a wild animal, helpless and hopeless about it, she had fear of other animals. Her eyes were twinkling brightly and lips glowing with pinkness. He had spoken out to her. His sudden appearence revealed a secret of hers to him that he was an animagus but she didnt care about it or lets say she pretended not to care about it.
She looked at him, so not pleased to face him again. they both really didnt sail in the same boat as he was famous and god knows what and she was nothing. what was she doing outside? oh what was he doing? trying to scare off girls so that they could fall into the lake and he could save them and be their hero? her face experessions explained how scared and irritated she was.She began mumbling like an idiot and took him in a wrong way, negative as always, are you trying to scare off girls by sitting like a scary huge wolf under the tree in the darkness so that girls can get scared of it and fall into the lake? and then you can save them and be their hero? ugh.. just so pathetic cause you simply dont know who can actually get a heart attack of it." she said as she plastered herself to the tree and look at him with his eyes narrowed at him. She was trying to calm down herself by taking out her anger of being scared by him. She sighed heavily to answer his question that had come out of his mouth right after she had lectured him. "Its none of your business to know what i'm doing outside right now.." she said wriggling her nose as her hair fell on her eyes and she brushed them back.
The beautiful night was supposed to serve her the best but guess she had only come to face another torture, it would've been way too much better to be in the coomon room facing the wild and nasty slytherins then facing Nathan Longbottom, the head boy. God only knew why he was made the head boy when he was himself breaking rules.

Nathan knew that she was probably surprised that he had appeared in the place of the wolf. She had been scared at the sight of the wolf form of him. These two did not get along too well at all. During his second year, a girl had entered the great hall with a very weird name. Her name was Wajiha James yet she preferred to be called Katie. That name was what led him to tease her during her first year. She had a older brother, but luckily for him, he was not in slytherin. Nathan continued teasing her until his fourth year then he just stopped talking to her. However, Katie was not going to let him get away that easily. Now that he would not tease her as badly, it was her turn to deliver some catchy words to him. He could have sworn that she may have picked some of them up from him as some of the stuff that she said, it was what he would say to others. Rather than look at his new self, Katie still saw that twelve year old boy, who had picked on her. He had gotten plenty of his friends to laugh at her and they even picked on her as well. Two years of torture was not compared to what Katie gave him. Once he started his whole nice guy personality, she immediately went towards torturing him instead for the next three years. He wanted them to be friends and he did want to apologize for what he did to her during her first years at Hogwarts. However, it was not going to be easy as she was stubborn and a bit full of herself.
Nathan knew that if he tried to apologize that she would just not believe him at all. She also would probably reply with a smart comment, so he would not bother until they were on somewhat good terms. As his eyes looked at her, he knew she was annoyed. Maybe he should have just left in his wolf form, so that he could run off to the forest. He was head boy and tons of people questioned why he was made head boy when he always seemed to break the rules about getting in the common room before a certain time. When he had been appointed prefect, he had talked to the headmaster about his condition. Even though he had to be out late at night, he was still appointed as head boy in his seventh year. The headmaster had told him that he was fair to all the houses and that it would be wrong to not give it to him just because he was a vampire. Other than at night, Nathan tended to obey the rules of the castle. So four people actually knew what he really was. Those four people were the headmaster, Joanna Potter, Nalean Silverstar, and his sister.
When she saw his face, she rolled her eyes and leaned against the tree. He just looked away as he was use to her treatment. The rolling of the eyes seemed so common in his mind when he would think about her. A lot of people wondered why he put up with all of her crap and let her basically walk over him. He never knew why he did so either except maybe because he had done it to her. There would be plenty of times though when Nathan would tease her back as she did tend to drive him batty at times with her comments. The shocked state that had been in, was still there and he guessed that she was afraid of wild animals. At least the black wolf was not real and was instead him, as she would have probably been in too much shock to attack it. Due to her stepping on his tail, his secret of being an animagus was revealed to her. Good thing that she knew now, so next time she saw a black wolf, she would not step on his tail. His mind wondered if the two would ever be friends or would he just have to deal with rolling eyes for the rest of his seventh year? Maybe if he had been nicer to her when she first came to Hogwarts then they would be friends. Despite not being friends, they were not the type to want to duel each other. They were not the worst of enemies, so that was better than nothing.
Nathan felt her eyes looking back at him and his brown eyes met hers as she spoke. Oh how he wished she would sometimes just reply in a positive tone, but nope she had to amuse him with her negativity. He knew that she thought that he was some famous boy, who had everything that he wanted. That was wrong as he wanted the girls to actually stop paying too much attention to him. Love potion attempts were making this annoying for him as he surely did not want a potion to help him fall in love with someone. He also had the gift of blood thirst and that was something that he did not want. Her facial expressions told him that she was irritated and still scared, something that he would said something about. However, she asked him if he was trying to scare girls by sitting like a wolf, so that they would fall into the river. He had to admit that some of her comments were amusing and laugh worthy, but he was not going to laugh. Laughter would just make her continue on. The next comment though, got a smile out of him. She asked if the girls would fall into the lake, so that he could save them and be their hero. Her eyes narrowed at him and he knew that she was taking out her anger on him. After she had lectured him, that was when he had asked his question. Nathan said,"Well judging from what you said, you came out to be saved in the lake." There was his reply that was sure to get a comment from her. Well she had said that girls would be scared and fall into the lake for him to save them. So why not play along?

Blame it to her great parents or just her for having such a weird name that everybody made fun of and laughed out like anything. Her name was the main issue, Nathan longbottom had picked on her by teasing her infront everybody and making fun of her name. It was so rude. and when he brought along his friends with him it made it even more worse as his friends would laugh and tease her. As she had no friends to hold her back she face to face 'em all alone by herself. Imagine how bad it was, even more worse than having a detention with professor severus snape. It was like a nightmare for her to every day face him and his goofy little friends until there fourth year and that would make it her third year. A year after it their was a change in both the personalities. Both had grown mature. He wasnt seen making fun of her but trying to help be her friend and she would simply stare at him, take out her anger on him, it was like this huge grudge she had on him and it didnt seem to ever be gone.
He wasnt the enemy type but annoyance. Oh, he was such an arrogant and annoying guy, god only knew what made girls go so crazy about him. really did good looks were the only thing that mattered to everybody? if so, they were so wrong. She was so not interested and she hated him --or wait--hate was a stronge word and she didnt feel hate towards her, she just disliked him. She didnt like his arrogantness, and his attitude and the worst his confidence.
If these qualities were impressing others then she had the worst taste ever. how she wished if only he had a kind side and would've been good to her then by now they would've been something, something good, perhaps friends? but it was way too late as they had already picked it up that they were going to tease eachother and torture each other. It was a secret that when she came to Hogwarts she sort of fancied him but when he started to pick on her four three years she couldnt juse believe it, as it was a terrible nightmare.ohwell, she was getting so used to it that seeing him didnt amuse her but annoyed her. why, why couldnt she be good to him or why was he trying to be her friend? why couldnt he get out of her way? even though they disliked eachother they were closer to eachother. closer like they were always around eachother, always talking to eachother, teasing, torturing, making fun, and in such a way knowing about eachother. For some reasons she wished to be his friend but how can she ever forget what he had done to her back then. there was fear in her that if she trusted him he'd break all her hopes and trust just like her brother Logan had done by bitting her. ever since she was bitten she had stopped trusting anyone. the more she tried to walk away from him that much closer they were brought to face eachother but why? she didnt know.
The stubborn girl really wasnt liking the way he was smiling at him. "What !?" she asked bitterly, looking cold as her eyes met his. oh how ironically she considered those eyes to be so beautiful to look into that it made her look away with a disgusted expression on her face. She felt like an idiot but how was this going to be called regretting now that she had already muttered nonsense to him for scarying her off. what if she would've fallen in the lake? freaking freezing water? and then he'd save her. oh how dare, he even think of doing that but like there was any other option--wait--she was getting abit too far with her thoughts. " well that was your plan right? saving me and then being my hero right? ha. stop dreaming mister Longbottom as its never gonna happen." she said as she stepped closer to him. "I'd die but never ask for your help..never." she stepped back but before that she stared at him, her eyes looking at his, those cold expression, alas she wasnt this tough how much sadiastic and cold she looked like. It was a half moon night, the moon wad brightly hanging up in the sky along with infinite numbers of stars and slowly slowly, by each second and each breathe, her anger was taking off as she calmed herself down. there was alot to admit but it wasnt just the right time." by the way, hows your tail? i hope i didnt hurt you much" and the came out a caring side of hers that she couldnt hide from many people especially from those she had known from long enough as she felt they had the right to judge her nicely and know that she wasnt that bad. it was the slightest attachment afterall six years werent less.

It always made Nathan wonder why her parents gave her strange name yet her brother had a normal name. However, Wajiha had began to use a nickname that should have just been her name. If this had been her first year then he would have considered her as being an enemy, a constant target of his abusive words. Now that they were just annoyances to each other. Despite considering each other to be annoying, they always seemed to talk about each other and always ended up running into each other. One thing that irked her and him alike was the girls. He knew that she hated how the girls liked him because he had seen her eyes when they would talk about him right in front of him. The girls mainly talked about his looks which was why he would never date them because he hated when people did that. People would date others just to say they were dating the hottest boy or girl in the school. A lot of girls talked about where he got his good looks from in front of him as well. His grandfather was not the hottest boy in school neither was his father. Nathan would just shrug as he really had no explanation for their crazy thoughts.
As for Wajiha and boys, he heard a few begin to talk about her as she got older. She had gotten prettier as the years had gone and yes, her annoyance had noticed as well. Nathan did not care much for her when she first came to Hogwarts as they were so young. However rather than end up dating her, he dated Nalean, who was his first girlfriend. When he was asked by a few boys what he thought of her, he would just say nothing. He had maybe a tiny crush on her, but it would not get far as she hated him. Nathan ran his hand through his black hair as she replied to what he said. She would probably make a comment about him running his hand through his hair because really confident quidditch players did that at times. Despite all their complicated relationship, it always seemed that Wajiha had him thinking about her. There wasn't really a day that went by that he would not think of her as they usually always ran into each other with a comment said. It was hard to stay away from her as they were both in slytherin and obviously, slytherins shared the same common room.
His smile had not disappeared, it couldn't no matter how hard he tried not to. She was amusing to listen to, such hateful words always came out, but it wasn't as bad as he had heard from others. One thing that he was glad about, was that she was not sitting there insulting his family which was something that Rabastan Lestrange loved to do. Instead, she would sit there and insult him, but it really did not feel like insults to him. It just annoyed him at times when she went on and on. Nathan shrugged his shoulders when she said what because he had just spit out whatever he could think of. It would have been interesting if she had fallen in the lake. He wondered if she had fallen in the lake, would she attempt to drown him as she tried to save her? Nathan said,"Yes, my plan was to sit down here and have you go into the freezing cold lake, so I could save you." She stepped closer to him and his eyes looked away from her as he said his next comment. He said,"Oh I wouldn't let you die, where would I be without my thorn in my side?" Even though she was annoying, he wouldn't let her drown or get attacked by whatever was in the black lake. He said,"I know you would probably drown me, if that ever happened so good thing you didn't fall into the lake." Oh how their relationship was so complicated, he was trying to be her friend and would probably save her if she was ever in trouble. He doubted that she would do the same as it probably would have been fun to her to see him freeze to death in cold water. However, he knew how to swim pretty well, so he would not really need much help. His eyes met hers and his smile disappeared when she actually asked how his tail was.
Well considering he was no longer in his animagus form and she had been wearing a sandal, it had not hurt him that much when she stepped on him. Nathan said,"Well luckily you weren't were those shoes that soccer players would wear. It is fine and no you didn't hurt me much. Sorry for growling by the way." He had growled at her in his wolf form when she had stepped on his tail, but that was natural instinct for him when he was a wolf. As for the shoes, he would have probably been bleeding if she had worn the shoes that soccer players were. At least, he hoped he had been right when talking about the shoes that had spikes on the bottom of them. He was a pureblood and did not have full knowledge of everything that muggles did or had. Nathan asked,"How are your nerves? You seemed to be scared from seeing a black wolf.." Most people would be scared of a black wolf, if they had stepped on his tail. It only made sense to ask how she was since he had growled at her and had probably scared her even more than the sight of him had done.
