Bear Lindon is an over-protective person to be around. He is reserved and hard to befriend, constantly avoiding his housemates through fear of getting close to them and having his heart broken like it was over the winter. He keeps to himself, but on the rare occasion that someone breaks through his shell, Bear shows himself to be a true darling. Romantic and daring, he spends all his time in the library or with his few friends on adventures.
Bear doesn't like to make a fuss and suffers everything in silence. He is very intelligent, but prefers to hide away than lend a hand to those around him unless someone specifically asks him to help them with their studies. Bear listens to people when they are upset and empathises without pitying people, making him a good confidante. No secrets told to him ever pass his lips, so he is a safe person to speak with if you need help.

Bear Lindon was born the only child of Arabella Odeon and Osiris Lindon, two young aurors-in-training. Arabella panicked as she was 18 when Bear was born, and he went to live with his grandmother for a few weeks while she got her act together. Aged one, Bear was returned to his mother and their relationship flourished, his quiet nature a perfect match for her's. His father died on the job when Bear was seven, and having lived in Italy in his entire life, Bear refused to move to Ireland, his mother's homeland. Forced to choose, his mother finally decided to allow Bear to remain in Italy with his grandmother.
When Bear received his letter to Hogwarts, he was thrilled and it wasn't until he was on the Hogwarts Express that he told his first lie. He was asked who his parents were, and having listened to all the students talking about how amazing their parents were he didn't want to be the loser kid with no family. He told the others that he lived in Ireland with his mom, and that his dad was dead, which was true at least. He took on an Irish accent, but continued to live in Italy and stay with his grandmother during the holidays. One winter in Italy led to Bear falling in love with a muggle, but her cousin was one of the students who had heard Bear's lies and he exposed them to the few friends Bear had. The girl dumped him, his friends abandoned him, and Bear has kept away from other people ever since.
