It was getting later in the day, it was Friday, classes were over and Mike didn't know what to do with himself. So much has happened this year, his last year,, that he didn't think he was ever going to be able to shake from his mind or even his heart. He lost his grandfather, his home, and one of his best friends, how was he suppose to get over all of that? Sure, his home could be rebuilt, but the ones that he cared for that were no longer with him could not. He needed Ryan, but he couldn't loose him too.
Mike decided the best thing for his soul was to get out of school not too far, he didn't want to run into any killers and end up another victim for everyone to feel bad about his death, he went to the lake. He looked over the lake and took the orange banana out of his pocket, he one Ryan transfigured for him late December before everything went south. He took the bandanna and wrapped it around his wrist and then started walking around the lake, all the way to the magical spot Ryan took him when they first met and he ell for him.
Things didn't go very far with Ryan, since everything over Christmas happened, and hen Kayla hardly two months later, but Mike was still in love with him, that much never changed, but he was never his to call a 'boyfriend' or anything, that much never got to happen, by now Ryan had probably already found somebody else, and Mike was just going to have to live with it. He got to the spot as the s started going down and he sat with his legs crossed and watched, thinking about the one he truly loved.

A sigh of relief escaped Ryan's lips as his professor finally let the class out for the day. 'Thank Godric it's Friday' he thought tiredly to himself as he shoved his things into his bag and hawled it onto his shoulder. Man he was exausted, as of late Ryan had actually been having a rough time getting to sleep, but last night he'd only gotten about an hour and he was really annoyed about the whole thing. All Ryan really wanted to do was relax with his guitar, by the lake until Dinner and maybe if hee was lucky get some sleep along with that. He stepped out into the hallway with the rest of the class and headed from the third floor all the way to the seventh where the common room was.
Just as he thought he was about to pass out at any second Ryan finally reached the portrait whole and muttered the password before it could ask. He made his way inside not bothering to speak with anyone, but instead went to his room and changed into a white tee-shirt, with a funky design on it, and a pair of dark jeans. He tossed on his white Hoodie and black chucks before grabbing his favorite guitar an Ibanez AW30 Artwood Acoustic Guitar, that he'd named Daisey, from the side of his bed and slid it's guitar strap over his shoulder before heading out. He ran a hand through his dark hair as he left the common room glad that he'd finally managed to get on his own for the day, and made his way to the lake. Ryan only nodded to the few people he knew before someone grabbed his arm and stopped him. He gave his sister Madison a curious look and she 'd only asked him if he was going to the lake, to which he'd replied yes and she'd given him an all knowing smile and ran off.
Ryan looked after her confused for only a second before shrugging it off and continued on his way. shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he went. It had been a while since Ryan had actually sat in his spot on the otherside of the lake and he was actually kind of happy about that. Mike was the only person he'd actually taken there with him, and once Mike had started avoiding him and their relationship had kind of fizzled he couldn't really be there without thinking about the guy. He was honestly still in love with Mike, but apperently, Mike didn't want anything to do with him anymore. It hurt Ryan to know that, but he'd managed to block it out as best as he could.
He ran a hand through the dark mess he called hair. He was just about there when he noticed someone sitting in his spot. As Ryan got closer his eyes widened in suprise, but shook his head, trying not to get his hopes up. He now kind of understood why Madison had asked him if he was going. He rolled his eyes at the and walked forward to where Mike was sliding his hood from his head and removing his guitar from his shoulder, setting it on the ground and sitting next to Mike and clearing his throat. "Hey..." He started, but trailed off not sure what to say.

Mike watched in silence as the sun started to slowly disappear over the horizon, he couldn't stop thinking about so many things, and avoiding people he cared about wasn't making anything better for him either. He was still talking to Ashleigh and Madison, he talked to them the most, along with Sam and Chris of course. Mike couldn't stop but think about Ryan whenever he was with Madison, he was her twin after all, and Mike felt bad for making things so bad, he was afraid. Afraid of loosing him, or getting him involved with his screwed up life. He only wished things could go back to the way things were.
Mike hardly noticed Ryan until he sat down next to him, Mike turned with a shocked face and quickly looked back out into the lake. Biting his bottom lip he tried not to cry right there, not because he didn't want to see him, but because he was afraid of what he thought of him now. He seemed to have a guitar, something Mike didn't know he could play, but he could picture it in his mind, looked a lot like that. He said hey and Mike turned to him again "H-Hey." Mike said, then quickly clearing his throat. He was just waiting for Ryan to tell him what he did was wrong, and how he found somebody else that doesn't avoid him.
Mike swallowed, he was nervous, much like he had been when he first met Ryan. Their first night meeting and it ended with his first kiss, and his first date to the New Years ball nevertheless, which actually ended up being really fun, besides the fact Rabastan was after Mike at the time. "Ryan.. I just want you to know... I'm really sorry..." He explained, tears slowly forming in his, not being able to look him back in his eyes as well, he was to scared of what he was going to say. Could Ryan ever forgive him? Could things go back to the way it was that night they met? He hoped so, he really did.

Ryan ran his hand through his dark hair for a moment and looked up at the sky for a moment. He didn't really know how to feel about this current siduation. He wanted things to go back to the way they were, but he wasn't sure what Mike was thinking at this point. He hadn't even attempted to talk to him for a while now and well Mike was his twin sister's best friend so that was kind of awkward for him. She'd never even tell him any details about what the two of them talked about so Ryan was kind of in the dark about what he was supposed to do now, or weather or not Mike even wanted to still date him. Ryan could barley look at him he was so nervous, which was odd cause Ryan never really got vervous to begin with.
The awkward silnce stretched on for a while after that as Ryan tried to figure out what to say to him, but Mike spoke up quickly, beating him too it. Ryan.. I just want you to know... I'm really sorry... He started off and Ryan looked over at him with a questioning gaze. He didn't know what exactly he was apologizing for, it actually could have been a number of things, so he wasn't any clearer on what the two of them were even doing now. Ryan thought for a moment before licking his lips and opening his mouth to speak.
For which part? A. Avoiding me? B. Not talking to me? C. Still talking to my sister, but not to me? D. not talking to me about what was going on wth you? or E. All of the above? Ryan asked with no hint of anger in his voice, just confusion. It was hard not knowing where the two of them were anymore, or even if they were anything. It was confusing him more, than it probably should have, but he did need to say a few things. After a pause Ryan looked at Mike before opening his mouth. I get avoiding people when your devistated, I've done it, hell I do it, but what I don't get is why you thought you had to avoid me..."He trailed off looking into Mikes eyes and seeing the tears. Ryan wanted so badly to hug him, and kiss him and make things better, but he just couldn't right now.

Mike didn't want to have to hear his reaction, he knew it was probably going to be something he didn't want to hear, but he was going to have to hear it. Mike looked still couldn't look at him, he starred off into the view of the Black Lake and listened to to Ryan speak in a kind of angry tone "For which part? A. Avoiding me? B. Not talking to me? C. Still talking to my sister, but not to me? D. not talking to me about what was going on with you? or E. All of the above?" And after that Mike held his head down and started crying as he tried to mutter "E..." But just sobbed right after.
Mike covered his eyes with his hands, he knew this was a bad idea, he didn't like crying in front of people he cared about, and he definitely didn't like loosing people he cared about either. He avoided him so he wouldn't get involved, he had already told him he didn't want him involved. It was hard not talking to his sister, she was kind of everywhere, they were in the same house after all. Mike didn't tell him what was going on, obviously because he was to busy avoiding him, and he didn't want to worry him.
Ryan understood why he was avoiding him, but not why he thought Mike had to avoid him. Mike wiped away his year with his palms and turned to him with a deep breath "Because... I love you, that's why. I don't want them to get to you like they got to my grandfather and Kayla... the Death Eaters... there still after me... and I care to much about you to let you get hurt because of me." He explained and then he looked away again, holding it all in. He took a lot to tell him that, that fact that he loved him, because he did. He couldn't help how he felt, he was just protective like that.

When he herd the sobbed out answer Ryan's heart nearly broke. He couldn't bare the thught of Mike crying because of something he said, let alone hear it, but the moment he looked over and saw Mike cry his heart did break. Ryan hated more than anything else to see his love in so much pain and he couldn't just sit there while he was either. Ryan scooted closer to him and wrapped his arms around Mike's waist protectivly and comfortingly. He ran his fingers through Mikes hair as he cried and kissed his cheek trying to calm him down some. He watched as Mike whiped his tears away and kissed his forehead just as he was answering his other question.
Because... I love you, that's why. I don't want them to get to you like they got to my grandfather and Kayla... the Death Eaters... there still after me... and I care to much about you to let you get hurt because of meAfter hearing that Ryan couldn't help, but smile. Mike was in love with him. Just hearing that made him forget anything else he was going to say. It cause an overwellming feeling to fill Ryan's chest all at once and he felt more than comeplete just knowing that.
Ryan cupped Mike's cheek affectionatly and turned his head so that he was looking into his eyes. There was no doubt in his mind that he had been in love with Mike since he'd first seen him, so he did the only thing he could do. Ryan Leaned over and kissed him pouring as much of his love as he could into it, that he could. After a moment he pulled back a smile on his face as he rested his head on Mike's. "I love you too, I've loved you since the first time I saw you in the owlery, and I don't care if you put me in danger I don't, because your not gonna lose me, and I'm not going anywhere." Ryan told Mike honestly starring into his hazel eyes before kissing him again.

Mike couldn't help but feel regret after having this conversation, he didn't want things to be like this, he wanted things the way they were before he went home for Christmas, back when he first met Ryan, when he had a home to go home too, when he had two grandparents, and when he still had a childhood best friend other than Sam and Ashleigh to see over the summer. Ryan moved over and wrapped his arms around Mike's waist. He felt better after Ryan kissed his cheek, just like he did before, when everything was much more simple. Mike wasn't proud of the things that occurred since Mike practically avoided him, hopefully they can forgive and forget.
Ryan seemed pretty forgiving, so maybe things could go back, maybe they could date for reals this time, be a couple, and not a couple like Katie James and Nathan Longbottom, not one full of drama and pain, but a normal one, were they can be together, and not have anything to hold them back. He was still hopelessly in love with Ryan, which is why he didn't want him to get hurt or anything, he already lost Kayla, and that hurt more than he could bare, his potion buddy and one of his oldest friends was dead, could anyone blame him for being paranoid that it could happen again? He couldn't live in a world were Ryan didn't exist.
Ryan hadn't said anything, but he cupped his hands on mike's face and turned his face to his and kissed him, Mike felt all the passion and love flow between them, just like before, he didn't want it to stop, he never wanted Ryan to leave him, not again, not ever. Ryan said he loved Mike too, ever since he saw him, Mike felt the same of course, and he said that he will never leave him, Mike smiled at him "I feel the same way..." he said, then Ryan kissed him again. Mike kissed him back, he put his arms softly around his neck as he kissed him. Mike just couldn't help himself, he loved him.

Ryan couldn't help, but smile into the kiss when Mike kissed him back, it was almost as good as the first tme they kissed, and just as amzing as every other time they Kissed. He missed kissing Mike, hell he missed just being around him without all the awkward avoidance issues, but he was pretty sure he wasn't going to let Mike go after this cause he was most deffinantly in love with the guy without question. Ryan's arms automattically wrapped around Mike's lips when his arms went around his neck. After a while Ryan pulled away from the kiss and gave Mike a charming smile. He couldn't help but getting lost in those hazel eyes as the two of them sat there. Ryan cupped Mike's cheek running his thumb over it affectionatly for a moment.
"You have no idea how much I wanted to kiss you since I saw you sitting here." Ryan said laughing a bit. Shook his head at his own lamness, but his eyes were full of amusement. He was so glad that he had finally, after what felt like forever told Mike he lved him, and was practically thrilled that Mike loved him back . He hoped that, that would last for a long time, forever in fact, and didn't really want to think about anything else. Ryan ran a hand through his hair tiredly and gave Mike a questionig look. "Why were you out here any way?" He asked him still amused, but shook his head.
"Actually I don't want to know, better question, Will you Be my boyfriend?" He asked him a charming smile slding onto his face. He was going to ask Mike that after Christmas break, but there was the whole, Mike decided to avoiding him so he wouldn't be an any danger from the death eaters, thing. The more he thought about that though he agreed with what Mike had done, he probably would have done the same thing.
